Letter from Lady Keldan:

Havensday, 2nd day of Halimath 980

Dearest Husband,


 Thing have been hard here at the castle since you left. We are running out
of supplies to feed everyone and the granary was robbed by bandits. We were
able to buy some supplies with money from the treasury, but many of the the
farmers have raised their prices since the fire in Shaelbrae. About a week
ago I fell terribly ill. Deagan found some travelers behind the keep by the
granary who had helped us kill the bandits that stole from the granery. He
offered for them to spend the night and found that one of them was a holy
man. The holy man discovered a creature of darkness living in the caves
under the keep that was responsible for my terrible illness. The group of
travelers were able to help us destroy the creature and cure my terrible
illness. They have saved my life and perhaps the lives of everyone here. I
am giving them this letter to give to you so that you will know if the great
deeds that they have done for us. Please end your crusade and come home
soon.
