This is what I would like to replace the text on the about page
with. Please add in any constructive comments. I don't feel
that people are seeing dod.net for exactly what it is. Matt I
am particularly interested in what you think. Please feel free
to add anything you think should be included. This is ours and
I may have left out an important part of dod.net that one of you
feels passionately about. And yes Jeff feel free to correct
the any spelling mistakes you find.
In our society we are ruled more by social suggestion through
media control then we are by a militant power. Now there are
militant elements in our society such as police who serve a
function of social control. By using aggression these
organizations rule our society through fear. However they are
not strong enough or organized enough to continue that function
if the overall system were to be exposed or collapse. Our
society keeps itself in check by keeping you the citizen,
ignorant. Granted most of us play our role without
understanding the big picture. Never underestimate the power of
conformity. However it would be foolish to disregard the
obvious control over our media. The publics source of
information it tainted by a private agenda aimed at keeping you
the masses from questioning the constraints and policies of our
governments and societies. Thought control is our largest
adversary. The media is simply a tool used to distribute the
propaganda geared towards this type of control and should be thought
of in the same context that violence is in a dictatorship. Our
movement was born in the underground punk scene and at the very
base of our philosophy is questioning the answers. It is from
this that Daemons ofThe Damned was founded. We focus on using
technology as a tool to put the power back in the hands of the
under privileged and working class. Our goal is to provide this
movement with an non-corporate outlet for it's digital needs.
The idea is that Daemons ofThe Damned (dod.net) is public
domain. Currently we have four major people working on the
collective. Chris Mooney, James Luedke, Jeff Sleeper, and Mike
Corey. However each one of the people on the clients list has
contribute to the collective by paying money to help keep it up
and telling people about what we do. Without their support we
are nothing but an ideal. You too can work on dod.net. All you
have to do is submit a project to the collective list and it
will be reviewed by other collective members. If we decide to
go forward with it you will be given an account on the
projects page and can start working. We will also include you
on the about page so that people know your an active member of
the collective. The Internet is an information resource. Not
a medium for corporations and governments to strengthen their
grip on humanity and our free will. The dod.net collective is
about taking back what is ours.
Be the Media,
Chris
